Emoticonology, (abbriviated E.C.), the study of Emoticons, is what this page is entirely dedicated to doing. It is the studying of these emoticons and translating them to exactly what they mean to an extensive and in-depth level of meaning. Below is a list of some of the most popular emoticons and what they mean. This originaly started in the Sandbox, but was moved here so it wouldn't be eventually deleted. We are always taking suggestions here, to submit new emoticons for the list, try here. Also, a shoutout to PoD for being a great help!

Rules for submitting an E.C.

  1. Must not be on list already. (Duh.)
  2. Must not look or have an inappropiate meaning. (Do I need to explain?)
  3. Can be a variation of an already submitted one. (:D and XD for example.)
  4. May or may not have definition included. (If not, it will be put in The Unknown section until futher notice)
  5. FACES, not PICTURES. (Yes, there's a difference somehow.)
  6. Be creative! (Use imangination!)

The Emoticons
