LowLandLions (LLL) is an organisation based in the Belgium, focusing on BeNeLux talents and e-sports players. The LowLandLions organization is also known for its success with its many other e-sports teams. It is also known for producing the organization currently known as Western Wolves, which formed as a result of a split between the foreign players and the BeNeLux players on LowLandLions. The team disbanded in 2017 before being restablished in 2020.
LowLandLions' Super Smash Bros. Melee team was created on June 12, 2014 and started off their division by recruiting Dutch players Remen and Jeapie. Four months later, LowLandLions recruited Mr. R, the best European Brawl player at that time. In 2016, Remen and Mr. R left the team. Frans Schouten, owner of LowLandLions at that time, said that they wanted to focus on more classic e-sports, and could not afford to keep Mr. R in the roster.[1] In early 2017, the only remaining member, Jeapie, left the team and simultaneously, LLL closed its Smash division.
