Hey guys, could check if this worth putting in:
===Springs===
In Stage Builder's Springs (and others like Sonic's Spring Jump) one can cancel the spring effect by spamming a Stall-then-fall moves and then damaging other characters using that spring, but the effects varies to some characters:
* Zero Suit Samus, Sonic, Sheik, Toon Link, Ice Climbers, Mr. Game & Watch and Wario-Man can do that perfectly, best in Ice Climbers if the follow Ice Climber is attacking with some delay.
* Ganondorf and Captain Falcon have some difficult to connect the second attack, because if they attack immediately after touching the screen they will do a somersault and won't be able to do any attack during this animation, also Ganondorf will fly twice the height if this happens.
* Bowser will do his normal start-up animation rising (because of the spring), and will cancel the spring effects just when the start-up animation is over and he starts to fall
* Kirby and Yoshi won't do damage because, unlike Bowser, their start-up animation cancels the effect by stalling (wich don't happens to Bowser), and because of this, their falling time will be so short that it can't hit anyone.
* Ivysaur will work like Bowser, but his Dair can also cancel the spring effects.

Should we include Bowser's, Kirby's and Yoshi's down B in this article? These moves also stall-then-fall.Timothyung 15:00, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Tis sounds like a good idea. I shall put it in.--Oxico 20:53, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Glitch?

I don't think that the vertical knockback canceling is a glitch. When a character beings a stall then fall, they begin to fall to the ground extremely fast. However, if they have vertical knockback applied, the two would cancel out. Sometimes one is more prevalent than the other. If attempted multiple times, you will see that the character cancels a different amount of knockback depending on when the attack was begun. If done late enough, the character will even begin to fall. Given that it is simply two forces acting against each other in a measurable way, the property can be explained by the game physics system and is therefore by definition not a glitch. I've noticed that if used repeatedly you can be locked in the same spot in mid-air. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.225.51.30 (talkcontribs) 21:25, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Wait a minute...

Since when Ivysaur's up-aerial a StF? It has minimal falling, and no shockwave effect upon landing. I'd like a good reason why that particular attack is mentioned here. Runer5h (talk) 19:23, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Runer5h

Stone

Kirby's down Special. Technically, he stalls to turn into the rock, and then falls faster than normal. Should we add it?Smoreking 2009 is here! 17:07, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
