This article is pure speculation. No facts, just claims. We could also have an article about Mewtwo's consideration to be in Brawl, but we don't. I bet there's many names that appear on the disc. [[Special:Contributions/98.117.158.220|98.117.158.220]] 21:29, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

Possibility of different Roy

Someone keeps adding the following sentence into the article:

"However, because Sakurai said there would only be 1-2 more third party characters after Snake had been announced, it is more likely that it is Roy from Fire Emblem."

This doesn't belong for a variety of reasons. First of all, the quote says: "there would only be 1-2 more third party characters after Snake". The quote was already including Snake, and only one more (Sonic) actually made it into the game, so based off the quote, there was still a possibility for one more. Since Roy Campbell is third party and the Roy from Fire Emblem is not, the quote isn't making any sense.
Besides, even if the quote said there would be only one more (referring to Sonic), that still doesn't prove the code wasn't referring to Roy Campbell, since Sakurai could have easily made the statement after they had already decided to cut him from the game even though they had been considering him at one point and had started some early programming on him.
Lastly, these articles are supposed to be unbiased. Since the likelihood of it being one over the other is a matter of opinion, it shouldn't be in the article anyways (I believe it's most likely Roy from FE as well, but it needs to be up to the reader to decide, not us). I hope my explanation cleared up any confusion. I'm now going to remove the quote again. Please do not re-add it.--Bman87301 23:39, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure that was entirely necessary since it could have easily just been a misunderstanding on the editor's part, and not intentional vandalism. Still, thanks anyway.--Bman87301 23:52, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

why is this article here?

This article is pure speculation. No facts, just claims. We could also have an article about Mewtwo's consideration to be in Brawl, but we don't. I bet there's many names that appear on the disc. 98.117.158.220 21:29, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
