The most recent Poké Ball Pokémon reported to be in Brawl are Darkrai, Eevee (which evolves into one of its seven forms and uses an attack), Chansey and Cherrim. This one I find very iffy, so I'm not touching it with a ten foot pole. Ryu Phoenix 21:25, January 21, 2008 (EST)

So whats next for the Fourth Generation. Dialga and Palkia teamed up as Bosses? or as Poke Ball Pokemon?

Pokedex Number and Description

The comment on the latest revision of this page went as follows:

"(we should really consider cutting out the Pokedex stuff on this page; it's a lot of clutter better left for Bulbapedia...)"

I concur with this. I wouldn't mind keeping the Pokedex numbers for organization, but the description isn't needed, even if it's replaced with a link to an article on Bulbapedia. Jigglypuff the Magic Dragon (talk) 13:47, 18 October 2013 (EDT)

Expansion of Pokémon Articles

Would it be alright to expand the various articles on the Pokémon to include an origin section, which can include its roles in its games, its debut, number, and the attack it uses? I'll make an example for Blastoise:

Blastoise, #009 in the National Pokédex, is a Water-type Pokémon that first appeared in Generation I of the series, evolving from Wartortle starting at level 36. It is the third and final evoultionary stage of Squirtle, one of three available starter Pokémon that is given by Professor Oak at the start of the player's journey in Pokémon Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, FireRed, and LeafGreen Versions, as well as after defeating Red in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions. Professor Sycamore can also offer the same starters in Pokémon X and Y. Blastoise is known for the two cannons protruding from its shell, which can fire blasts of water. In Smash Bros., Blastoise uses these cannons to use Hydro Pump, a powerful Water-type move with 120 power (110 in Generation VI), 80% accuracy, and 5 PP. In Generation VI, Blastoise learns this move at level 60. In Generation VI, Blastoise can Mega Evolve into Mega Blastoise if it holds a Blastoisinite.

I don't think it's a bad idea in theory, but what you put for Blastoise is much too long, and contains too much information not pertinent to the wiki. Just by taking your text and cutting it, this is what I would get:

All the info on how to acquire the Pokémon is irrelevant to this wiki. We can included on the starter Pokémons' blurbs that they are such, but otherwise we don't need it. People an go to bulbapedia and get all of that information, and we might even want to consider putting a blulbapedia link in the article(s). Moreover, this is less useful as its own section and more just an expanded introduction paragraph (which right now are among the worst content on the wiki anyway).
