why should matchups matter in the long run? I thought it was the player that makes the character not the other way around. I tried to tell people on a Brawl site that Falcon's priority is not only his greatest weakness but his greatest strength, (meaning that your oppenent wont take you very seroiusly till they get knee'd) but why do people continue to say matchups make the character more than the player does, is this all one sided? that we all have to main only top tier characters to win? thats stupid and that makes this game very unplayable when people do this. what's the truth? the player or the tier list make the character?

OK, where did this come from:

How to Unlock

  • Beat Classic in 20 minutes or less then defeat him in the following match.
  • Play 70 VS matches. Defeat him afterwards.

?? If I recall, this is how you get him in SSB, correct? I do not think we should guess time will repeat itself.--Oxico 14:27, February 6, 2008 (EST)

It did. --Phred 11:41, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

no this how to unlock him: • Play 70 Brawls • Beat Classic Brawl Mode on the Normal difficulty setting or greater in less than 12 minutes • Get Captain Falcon to join your party in The Subspace Emissary

• With the exception of the last of the three methods listed above, you’ll need to face Captain Falcon in a brawl and beat him after satisfying the above conditions to unlock him.

that was directly taken from the smash dojo.

Stub?

Is it one?Theres plenty of info.Krakash 15:42, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Perverse Taunt

Has anybody noticed that sometimes Falcon's D-Taunt sounds like "Show me your boobs!" —Preceding unsigned comment added by (Benji Man) (talkcontribs) 18:05, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

No it doesn't. About as close as PK Thunder and PK Hunger. -Gargomon251 20:30, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Or as close as mario Saying "Oh Yeah" and "Oh Shit". (Yes people actually think Mario says Oh Shit when he preforms his final smash)

I have never... EEEVAH heard him say falcon punch come to think of it. It has always sounded like falco punch! Kperfekt722 (talk) 03:10, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Recruiting

OK all who are willing. I need lots of help. I need all the moveset to look all alike. I need people willing to help! If you choose to accept this challenge, use Meta Knight's moveset as a perfect example. If you want to help the cause, leave your username under the category on my userpage called "Recruiting". This message is also there. Let's fix these movesets. --Oxico (talk) 20:53, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Changes from Melee to Brawl

Is no longer the fastest runner, Sonic being the fastest -That an Indirect change isn't it?Heck I won't even say that is a change. So I can delete this right? Hatake91 (talk) 22:29, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

CF may have a hard to miss strength. Maybe it's minor but it could help.

It seems Captain Falcon deals heavy damage with his smash moves. The back kick of his down smash, the weakest smash strike besides just one individual hit of the double-hitting up smash, deals 16%, which already beats or at least ties with most of Olimar's smashes even at their critical ranges. Add to the fact that plenty of his other attacks still clock in double digit damage and we may have a solid damage dealer on our hands if used correctly. 71.198.168.190 14:06, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

I think he's underrated (but im probably wrong since im not a pro or anything) his recovery isnt that bad dive for vertical, boost for horizontal, raptor boost owns edgehogs and can leapfrog over people guarding the edge of the stage. Good aerial attacks, even though his f-air isnt as effective i find his b-air good for KOs, d-air good spike, u-air good for juggling.. so uhh yeah. Kinda glad he was at the bottom of the list tho, its the reason i mained him :D

It's true he can't really approach and his priority is abysmal. I main him ATM and I don't think I'll stop any time soon (because his air attacks are so damn powerful and I don't like smash attacks) but a discovery needs to be made (well, there are three - he does lots of damage, his air game is good, and his smashes are all very powerful, despite horrible windup). 207.210.29.71 05:29, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

You have right. Before I knew what priority was I often fell it was difficult to land moves even if I was attacking in the CPU. Now I know his priority is extremely low it's easy to me to shut down him by jus cancel his attacks with things like jab. His jab has actually more priority than his smashes, which is awesome. So his smashes lacks priority as well which is terrible. His smashes outside down smash are much weaker than Ganondorf's attacks as well as forward smash of Ganondorf has amazing knockback. The worst or 2nd worst nerf in attacks ever in a Smash game. How could Nintendo make a such nerf? Nintendo should never nerf characters, it makes many of them an abysmal character. One of captain falcon's major advantages is his edgeguarding. He has many moves that either spike the opponent to their death or just make escape impossible. These attacks include Raptor Boost and his D-air. Another useful attack for edgeguarding is Falcon Dive. If you knock someone over the edge and they get sent far enough you can jump after them and use falcon dive which will send them right over the edge. The main disadvantage of these moves is that aside from the D-air you will plummet to your death if you miss. Do not use these in competition until you have practiced them A LOT. I've been working on my Captain Falcon recently and I have found that he is quite a fun character. Highway pumpy PK STARSTORM!!] 15:07, January 25, 2010 (UTC)
