Steelix (also known as Haganeiru in Japanese) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

Creature description

Steelix is the Iron Snake Pokémon which is both Rock and Steel type. It is the evolved form of Onix that was introduced in Pokémon Gold & Silver; in the Pokémon RPGs from then onward you could typically obtain a Steelix by trading an Onix holding a "Metal Coat" item to another trainer and watching it evolve, then trading the new Steelix back. At the time it was introduced, it was the largest Pokémon species, at an average length of over 30 feet. It was outperformed by the current record-holder for largest Pokémon specie, the blue whale Pokémon Wailord.

Steelix features as a collectible trophy, unlocked as one of the 100+ trophies that can be collected randomly during normal play, such as in the Trophy Lottery and throughout the various Single-player Regular Matches. It reads as follows:
