ResidentWaffle, addressed by his smashboards friends simply as "Waffle" is an American smasher from Los Angeles, California in a region more commonly known colloquially to other players as "Socal". He periodically holds tournaments at Toy Mandala in Sherman Oaks, CA.
Tournament history
He found and joined the Smash World Forums in January 2006 when he got bored one day and started looking on the GameFAQs' Smash Bros. Melee forum. He attended his first tournament in March 2006 which was small store tournament in Anahiem in which he lost his first round and tournament match to DieSuperFly a "Pro Smasher" ranked 2nd in Socal right after SephirothKen, who many considered the world's best smasher at the time. He later lost to another random smasher in the losers' bracket and vied to get better.
This did not happen until later, however, due to school he took a break from that time until summer, a time in which he got rarely any practice. His practice started up again when RagingMissles or "Rage" another starting Smash Bros. player and soon to be friend decided to hold tournaments at Toy Mandala; a small store in Sherman Oaks, California. They first met at another tournament in a store called Gamer's Lounge, which is across the street from Toy Mandala but did not talk to each other at the time. Since then ResidentWaffle received a lot of practice with Rage at his tournaments and private get-togethers with him and other 818 smashers in the area such as Nes, J666, Morb, Mike Haze, Inks, DEHF, Brwn, and Fly Leaf.
