Cactuar eventually became a training partner for Mew2King, who lived 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia. Mew2King was determined to become the best Marth, and having a Marth training partner to practice the Marth ditto with became invaluable experience for his ultimate goal of overtaking Ken. Cactuar eventually started taking breaks from the competitive scene, and recommended that Jman take his place.
Still residing in Philadelphia, Cactuar drifts in and out of the competitive scene, but is always ready to provide advice to anyone who asks for it, whether they are a fresh face to the competitive scene or a top 5 player. Trivia
- Despite having a Final Fantasy-inspired gamertag, Cactuar has never actually completed any of the Final Fantasy series of games, and has only played FF8 to near completion.
- People also know Cactuar for his odd Fox style. He has said himself that he never learned how to waveshine and spams neutral air and shines. This is apparent in his matches vs Darkrain at Event 52. An inside joke about him is that Cactuar never combos and just "gays" people
