This needled fellow has spent countless hours practicing with Mew2King, and is often seen coaching the pale white chaingrabber during tournament matches. He is well known for being an enormous sandbagger in friendlies and in tournament. (See Also: The Isai Effect)
Cactuar is an ex-Marth main. He picked up Fox in 2008 for use in teams and eventually made the switch for singles as well. His smash roots are split between Northern NJ, where he was recruited by the crew "The Smash Affiliates" (TSA), and Philadelphia, where he went to Drexel University. At Drexel, he played with Pakman, who was familiar with the competitive scene and encouraged him to go to competitions in the NJ/NY/PA and MD/VA areas.

Cactuar started playing in March 2006. Since then he has improved exponentially and is now the top player in PA, and is head of [[TSA]]: PA, appointed as such after moving from his NJ smash roots to attend Drexel University, located in Central Philadelphia.
Cactuar eventually became a training partner for Mew2King, who lived 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia. Mew2King was determined to become the best Marth, and having a Marth training partner to practice the Marth ditto with became invaluable experience for his ultimate goal of overtaking Ken. The two eventually started teaming, having great success at local tournaments as well as on the national level. Cactuar eventually started taking breaks from the competitive scene, and recommended that Jman take his place.

Cactuar travels more than almost any other smasher in the PA/NJ/NY area, attending Gauntlet, King of The Couch(deceased), MLG, his crew's tournaments, and every large regional tournament. He also visits Virginia to participate in Chu Dat's bi-weeklies on occasion.
Still residing in Philadelphia, Cactuar drifts in and out of the competitive scene, but is always ready to provide advice to anyone who asks for it, whether they are a fresh face to the competitive scene or a top 5 player. He is known for providing solid analysis of player styles, insight into player vs player manipulation, and tips on strengthening both the foundations of play ability and the necessary mindset to play competitively.

Cactuar is currently ranked 3rd in the Tri-State area.
Despite his inactivity, he is not a player to be taken lightly.

Gameplay and Tournament Activity

Cactuar is an ex-Marth main. He picked up Fox in 2008 for use in teams and eventually made the switch for singles as well. His smash roots are split between Northern NJ, where he was recruited by the crew "The Smash Affiliates" (TSA), and Philadelphia, where he went to Drexel University. At Drexel, he played with Pakman, who was familiar with the competitive scene and encouraged him to go to competitions in the NJ/NY/PA and MD/VA areas.

Despite his inactivity, he is not a player to be taken lightly.

Trivia

  • Despite having a Final Fantasy-inspired gamertag, Cactuar has never actually completed any of the Final Fantasy series of games, and has only played FF8 to near completion.
  • People also know Cactuar for his odd Fox style. He has said himself that he never learned how to waveshine and spams neutral air and shines. This is apparent in his matches vs Darkrain at Event 52. An inside joke about him is that Cactuar never combos and just "gays" people
