SmashLabs (abbreviated SL), is the home of the german-speaking Smash 4 community. Founded in July 2014, it has since grown to be the largest german-speaking Smash 4 community, even surpassing the German Smash Boards. The Community consists of players from Germany, Austria, Luxemburg and Swiss. The forums can be found here

History

SmashLabs was founded by a part of the German Smash Boards Community. The increasing popularity of Melee and decreasing interest in Brawl eventually led to a small group of smashers of the German Smash Boards founding their own Community. The Website was set up on July 23rd, 2014. The forums were opened on August 4th. Since it's beginning, SmashLabs has gathered over 4000 members (as of November 2014) to participate in many discussions about Smash 4, with over 330 posts per Day (as of November 2014). The sudden rise in new smashers finding their way to SmashLabs has led the German Smash Boards to become mainly focussed on Melee and Project: M, linking new users to SmashLabs if they are more interested in Smash 4, rather than Melee or Project: M while SmashLabs links new users to the German Smash Boards if they are more interested in Melee or Project: M.

Goals

SmashLabs aims to be the central site for Smash 4 in the german-speaking community. While offering content for casual and competitive players alike, the main goal is to let the german Smash community grow and bringing new players into the competitive scene.
