An ironman is a kind of match similar to a crew battle, but it is 1 on 1. It is an idea of g-regulate on Smashboards based on Overswarm's idea. Both players pick 5 different characters. Each character starts with 3 stocks, for a total of 15 stocks. Both players pick their opening character before the battle. They start on a random neutral stage, but they can agree on the opening stage. When a player loses all of the character's stocks, he or she picks another character and counterpicks a legal stage. Each player starts the battle with their remaining stock (If player B keeps 1 stock after the battle, he or she must SD in the next match to start with 1 stock.) If a player loses all 15 stocks, he or she will lose the match.
