Fastfalling is a technique commonly used to speed up a character's game, especially after a [[short hop]].  It is a part of [[short hop fast fall l-cancel|shffl'ing]] and is considered an advanced technique.
 
Most characters move more quickly when fastfalling than when falling normally; however, [[Young Link]] excepts this principle.  His [[falling speed]] and fastfalling speed are the same, and fastfalling only causes Young Link to reach his top speed sooner.
