Celebi first appeared in the games Pokemon Gold and Silver. It made its SSB debut in Melee as a rare Pokeball pokemon that awarded the "Celebi Watcher" Score achievement and gave the Celebi Trophy. Celebi would appear on screen for a few seconds, and then fly off. It was confirmed on December 4th, 2007 that Celebi would appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
