Blaziken (disambiguation)

Blaziken is a fire Pokémon that resembles a humanoid bird. It first appeared in Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire and Pokémon Emerald.

Sakurai has stated in a interview that Blaziken was originally meant to be playable in Brawl, but was later replaced by Lucario.

Blaziken is a Generation III Pokémon, and is only available by picking Torchic as a starter in Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald. It must then be evolved at levels 16 and 36. It is a Fighting and Fire type with excellent attack stats. Unfortunately, it low speed and defenses lower its survivability considerably, and in Generation IV, it is outclassed by Infernape.

A Blaze Pokémon. When up against a tough opponent, it fights a spirited battle and shoots white-hot flames from its wrists. The stronger the foe, the more intense the flames from its wrists. Blaziken also uses a combination of punches and kicks to leave targets in scorched ruin, and its strong legs allow it easily to leap over 30-story buildings.
