Waddle Dee

Waddle Dees are the projectile used in King Dedede's Smash B attack, Waddle Dee Toss, and are also used in his Final Smash, Waddle Dee Army. They are more effective in the latter than the former. After being thrown, they "waddle" across the stage, and will occasionally unleash weak attacks. If a Waddle Dee approaches a ledge, it will squat, and then jump off. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, the Waddle Dee trophy states that Waddle Dees do not actually consider themselves minions of King Dedede. The Waddle Dee are used as projectiles and actively attack during Dedede's Final Smash. In the Subspace Emissary the Waddle are used to capture Luigi. They also appear to be carrying Dedede on a mikoshi as his entrance.

Trophy #275: "Many delicate creatures like this one inhabit Dream Land. They generally live carefree lives and have never considered themselves to be followers of King Dedede. Waddle Dees are innocent and generally harmless to man and beast. While they have virtually no offensive or defensive power, they'll sometimes try to wield a parasol."
