Lucas will be appearing as a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl.He is a Japan-only character from the game Mother 3. He was originally going to replace Ness in Super Smash Bros. Melee but Earthbound 64 never came out, not giving him an appearance until Mother 3. He may or may not be replacing Ness in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Like Ness, he has psychic powers.
