"Roy" is a label listed for a package of unfinished programming found within the code of Super Smash Bros. Brawl when hacking the game disc. Because of the name, many speculate it as being proof that Roy from the Japan-only GBA game Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, and who also previously appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee as a playable character, was once planned to return as such in Brawl. While certainly possible, there is no evidence to back this up. A common alternate theory is that it was there for referential purposes by the programmers, or the result of imported data from Melee. An often overlooked possibility is that it wasn't in reference to the Fire Emblem character at all and that the name is actually in reference to a completely different "Roy" (such as Roy Campbell of the Metal Gear series, among others). Because the programming is incomplete, none of these theories have been proved or disproved either way.Roy has been replaced by ike,ike and roy are very similar they both have a very strong standard special which will damage them when fully charged(10% damage),both heavy, both have bad recovery, both strong and slow
