The Nintendog is a new item shown to appear in SSBB. Although the item itself is unknown, its effect is confirmed. Activating it causes a Nintendog puppy to hop up in front of the screen and paw at it, blocking the players' views. This is comparable to Togepi's Nightshade attack in SSBM, which blackened the screen for a few seconds.
