My friends...

The time has come.

I've had a lot of fun times here, great experiences, and will cherish those memories forever. I will remember the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the changes and deletions, everything. I enjoyed my time, though fleeted it may have been. It's been a fun ride, but all rides must stop at some point. I'm afraid that they have. I will remember that Smashwiki was a fun experience, and I will look fondly back on the memories I got from Smashwiki. So goodbye for now, Smashwiki,

I bid you farewell...

ThePikaPlayer... is no more.

EDIT: hey here's a little thing i did and this is one of my very rare updates now...

Net neutrality is an important thing that exists, allowing us to surf the internet, watch cat videos on YouTube, and send emails on Gmail, among other things, at relatively the same high speed. But big companies are trying to get rid of net neutrality. I personally think net neutrality is a great thing and should not be taken away. Without net neutrality, network service providers could limit what websites you go on and charge you for it.

Let's have an example. Say you want to go to YouTube. A simple action; for now. In this day and age with net neutrality, all you have to do is search up "YouTube" or type in "youtube.com" and you're going to YouTube. Keyword being "with net neutrality". Because without it, a situation like this could happen:

So, you want to go to YouTube. Too bad for you, you didn't buy basic service! Since you're rich(play along), you decide to pay for basic service. Okay? Okay. Now, you're ready to go to YouTube... right? Wrong. You forgot to pay for the video "pack". So, you pay for it. Now, you can watch some cat videos on YouTube! Then, your phone beeps, telling you that you got an email! So you go to gmail. Sorry! You didn't pay for the Email "pack". So you pay for that. Now, say you want to chat with somebody, say, your cousin, on Skype. Well look right here, somebody didn't pay for the messaging "pack"! You get the idea.

Portugal is an example of what can happen without net neutrality. According to a tweet from Representative Ro Khanna, Portugal's internet, with no protection from net neutrality, has "basic internet service" for searching up stuff on Google and Bing and whatnot. ...That's it. Everything else, like Skype, Twitter, Gmail, and YouTube are all sectioned into packs. And it's not like you can choose a few things and buy them for a pack. No, no, no, these four things are all in different packs. So if you only use these, you're paying a lot more just to use four apps. The "Music" pack and the "Video" pack only have four apps in them! Feeling ripped off yet?

We get free, fast internet with net neutrality. Most of us just take it for granted, not realizing what could happen should this incredible freedom be taken away from us. If we can have the freedom of speech, don't you think we can have the freedom of internet access, and not have to pay monthly just to watch YouTube or search up things on Google every once in a while? We need net neutrality. We need it to save our cat videos, our Netflix subscriptions, and our freedom to listen to Initial D through Google Play Music. Save net neutrality, everybody!
