Kanto 2017 was a national Super Smash Bros. tournament held in the Chuo ward of Tokyo, Japan. It was held held together with Battle GateWay 17 as a joint Melee/SSB64 event.

Many players among Japan's strongest attended, namely wangera, Fukurou, wario, kysk and more. With 135 participants, it was one of the biggest Japanese Smash 64 tournaments ever. The tournament format was Round Robin in pools and then single elimination and Best-of-1 before Top 8 and Best-of-3 in Top 8.

Wario, who was the favourite to win, got upset by Kurabba both in pools and in Top 16, finishing only 9th. Instead, the winner was Fukurou, who had already won Kansai 2017 and Snosa 3 recently. He defeated Haha, Maha,Keisuke, Wangera, Gyaki and Moyashi without dropping a game and only twice on his last stock (against wangera and gyaki).
