OK, more seriously, I'm MaskedMarth (MaskedSheik or MaskedFalcon elsewhere), and I'm dismayed at the amateurish job that's gone into most of these articles.  So I've been editing stuff like crazy.  I've been working on improving the pro/con sections of each character to be parallel and encompass a character's true strengths and weaknesses, and I hope to improve the naming and descriptions of various moves.  I'm also interested in perhaps creating articles on historical figures and events, such as the tier wars, Matt Deezie, previous tier lists, etcBefore I create articles in that vein though I hope to read more to better understand the direction other people want to take this wiki.

Oh, and another thing: priority doesn't exist, and mindgames are much less important than we pretend they are.  I've been taking out references to priority because almost always "priority" is an illusion of range, which is deceptive: for instance, Falcon is a low-range character, generally, and Kirby and Jigglypuff both have high range on most of their attacks, including their grabs - in fact, Kirby has a higher range grab than anybody but "long-range" grabbers, Marth and Roy, and Captain Falcon has one of the game's lowest-ranged grabs.

Mindgames are a more difficult matter, and while they do exist, too often players misuse the term, telling us that certain characters have more mindgames, or that a player has more mindgames by virtue of playing less flashily than the next.  I hope to remove the term from discourse until Smashers can use the term responsibly, and not simply as a blanket solution to everything unexplainable in Smash.

I'm tired of links to this page being red, so here it is.

By the way, DDR > Smash ;D.

OK, more seriously, I'm MaskedMarth (MaskedSheik or MaskedFalcon elsewhere), and I'm dismayed at the amateurish job that's gone into most of these articles. So I've been editing stuff like crazy. I've been working on improving the pro/con sections of each character to encompass a character's true strengths and weaknesses; as a function of this effort I've been removing many points that are redundant, meaningless or incorrect. Examples include multiple descriptions of a characters' speed, remarks about a character's "good air game" without even a clause of supporting evidence, constant comparisons between clones that don't allow the reader to truly put a character in perspective, and information, particularly about more "famous" characters, that is excessively old and out of date. I've reworded some of these pros and cons as well, ironing out such words as "amazing" that are unencyclopedic. I hope to eventually improve the character articles to a point at where the reader is not affronted with the confusion that arises from unprofessional writing and analysis.

I'm also interested in perhaps creating articles on historical figures and events, such as the tier wars, Matt Deezie, previous tier lists, etc. Before I create articles in that vein though I hope to read more to better understand the direction other people want to take this wiki.
