The Corkscrew is an original move invented by Smash Bros.

It shares part of the name ~~of one~~ of Wario's ~~abilities in Wario World which was the~~ Corkscrew Conk~~, where Wario does a Shoulder Charge, then jumps as Wario rolls~~ in ~~the air. It gives~~ Wario ~~a horizontal boost to his jumps and can be used to attack.~~

While it shares part of the name of Wario's Corkscrew Conk ability in ''Wario World'', the two moves are entirely unrelated having entirely different animations, and functions.

~~Despite the name~~, ~~Wario's Corkscrew move in Super Smash Bros. Brawl is very different to~~ the ~~Corkscrew Conk. The Corkscrew does not require a Shoulder Charge, can be started in midair, has an~~ entirely different ~~animation~~, and ~~gives Wario more of a vertical boost than a horizontal one~~.
