The 2GG Championship Series, or 2GGC, is an upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U circuit of tournaments to be held throughout 2017 in South California and Nevada as a collaboration between 2GGaming and eSports Arena. It was announced at the end of 2GGT: ZeRo Saga, and is the spiritual successor to the 2GGT series of tournaments.
Format
Twelve tournaments will be hosted, one for each month of the year. A prize pot bonus of $50,000 will be distributed across the tournaments from January to November, and another $50,000 will be in play for the final 2GG Championship tournament in December, making for a total of a $100,000 pot bonus throughout the entire circuit. Players who win any of the tournaments in the series will qualify into the Championship, having their travel expenses paid for; other players may also qualify through points earned by placing top 16 in circuit tournaments. Three tournaments within the series are considered season finales, those being 2GGC: Civil War, 2GGC: June Saga and 2GGC: September Saga, and will be two to three day events where the qualifying points are doubled. In the end, a total of 20 players will be qualified.

Trivia
- The "Saga Curse" that occurred in the 2GGT series is considered to have continued into the 2GG Championship Series:
- ZeRo, the winner of 2GGC: GENESIS Saga, placed 3rd at GENESIS 4, the tournament which GENESIS saga promoted and was dedicated to (2GG co-founder Champ issued a statement confirming this curse himself[1]).
- Ned, the winner of Midwest Mayhem 7: Mexico Invasion, finished 4th place at 2GGC: Midwest Mayhem Saga, which promoted the Midwest Mayhem series.
- Out of all "curses" between 2GGT and the 2GG Championship Series, this is the only one to have been a result of a certain player winning a Saga and then failing to win another tournament, as opposed to failing to win the Saga they represent.
