While using it, a text square (like the ones in Pokémon games, based on the ones from the 4th generation games) appears on the bottom of the scene, which states, "Take that! Triple Finish!", and later "It's super effective!". This may block parts of the screen and become a visual obstacle for players, similarly to the [[Mr. Resetti]] [[assist trophy]].

Triple Finish

Triple Finish is Pokemon Trainer's Final Smash. After one of his Pokemon grab a Smash Ball, Pokemon Trainer sends out his other Pokemon to join the first in a powerful triple attack. This attack sends out multiple elemental Pokemon techniques(Hydro Pump, Solar Beam, and Fire Blast), which cover an extremely large area. Any enemy caught in the attack suffer major damage; the closer they are to the Pokemon, the more damage received. After the attack is finished, all opponents effected are sent flying. Oddly enough, during this attack, a text box appears at the bottom of the screen, which often is filled with sentences like "It's Super Effective!"
