Pichu is a small Electric-type Pokémon that appears as Pikachu's "clone" in Melee. His moveset is virtually identical to Pikachu's, however, there are some subtle differences. For example, when Pichu's Skull Bash is completely charged, it will almost always send the opponent flying (It does take longer to charge than Pikachu's though). One drawback when playing as Pichu is the fact that he hurts himself with his most powerful moves, so most of the time you'll find yourself relying on items.

Special Moves

  • B Thunder Jolt (When Pichu uses this, the Pokémon will incur some damage.)
  • B → Skull Bash (As mention above, although Pichu does take damage from this attack, it can send foes flying.)
  • B ↑ Quick Attack (Press Up+B and then two directions. Pichu will then fly in the directions you chose. Note this move causes Pichu to take damage.)
  • B ↓ Thunder (This move call a mighty bolt of lightning to hit all enemies in the immediate are. Note: Pichu doesn't suffer recoil damage if he's under a platform.)
