After most of the crew members had left the hotel room for the day on Sunday, July 17th, Zelgadis returned to the room with his friend Clayton to search for a jacket he had left behind, and then stole an envelope accidentally left on a bed (containing $6,000 in pot bonuses from Sabergaming), returning to Clayton's home to store the money there. After the rest of the crew accused Zelgadis of stealing the envelope when they found it was missing, Zelgadis reportedly lied to them, repeatedly saying that he had not stolen the envelope. After police involvement and almost four hours of investigation, Zelgadis admitted that he had stolen the envelope, and all of the cash was returned. The incident severely damaged Zelgadis's reputation, as well as the reputations of DBR and the Smash community as a whole.
