:It says in the Continue article: ...The player can continue if they have enough coins; if not, then "No" will be chosen automatically by the game, the announcer will not tell the player to continue, the continue music will not play when the trophy falls on to the floor and the player receives a game over. So, the game just knows to select "Game Over." Good question, though.
