Most trophies ("figures" or "figurines" in Japan) in Super Smash Bros. Brawl can be obtained through coin launcher (labeled as random in how to unlock) or playing certain stages in The Subspace Emissary. Some trophies, particularly the enemies of The Subspace Emissary, can only be obtained by using a Trophy Stand ("Smash Plates" in the Japanese version) on a foe while its health is low. Other trophies, particularly those of playable characters and their Final Smashes, can be obtained by playing Classic Mode and All-Star Mode respectively. Trophies can also be obtained by completing several challenges. There are 544 trophies in all in Brawl, some which tend to be rarer than others. They can be used in the Trophy Hoard.
The following is a list of the nine trophies from the EarthBound (also known as Mother) series that appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Four are unlocked by completing Classic Mode and All-Star Mode with Ness and Lucas; two are unlocked by successfully performing specific Challenges; one is available by using a Trophy Stand on a foe in The Subspace Emissary and the remaining two are available through all the means of collecting random trophies, including Coin Launcher.

| Porky Statue || Clear Boss Battles on Very Hard Difficulty |||| A guardian statue standing inside New Pork City that's clearly based on Porky himself. Investigate it, and the statue will turn hostile and start a battle. And it has 100,000,000 HP! It has very high stats, so you'll never win if you attack it straight-on. Thankfully, there's an item called "New Year's Eve" that can reduce its HP to 1-- then you can defeat it with ease.
