In 2023, Leffen attended his first Genesis after lockdown. In Genesis 9, he made it to winner quarts before losing to Zain 3-2. He beats fiction to make it in top 8 but proceeds to lose to Hungrybox 0-3. Leffen would attended his next event several months later at BOBC 5. After having a close game against Axe, he loses winner quarters against Cody. He makes top 8 through losers once again, this time beating Hbox. He then lost to Jmook for 5th, failing to get the repeat.
At this point, it has been an entire year since Leffen last won a major. He attends LACS 5 where his pool matches were shaky loosing to Joshman and Cody once again. He manages to make it out of the swiss bracket and in winners top 16. He beats Hungrybox 3-0 and beats Zain despite him 3 stocking leffen with ice climbers game 3. He beats Cody in winner finals and beats Zain once again in the runback, claiming his first 2023 major
