Aether is Ike's Up B move. When used, Ike will throw his sword upward. He does not flinch in this time. Then he will jump, catch the sword, and swiftly plummet down, doing huge knockback damage. Many at E for All said that this was a "suicide recovery."
Aether is based on Ike's "Occult," or Mastery ability in Fire Emblem 9 and 10. It consisted of two strikes, one that negated defense and one that absorbed HP from the target.
