The SSBM Beam Sword is considerably weaker than it was in the original SSB. The length of SSBM's Beam Sword changes depending on the character wielding it and also the intensity of the attack performed. The beam sword's smash attack generally has the longest range of all beam sword strikes. In SSBM, Peach can very rarely pull a Beam Sword at random with her Vegetable Pull.
