Editing User:Mario Maniac/Character concepts

Everyone has their characters that they want in ''Smash''. I’m no exception, there are some characters that I think have potential to be in Smash. Unlike [[User:Aidanzapunk/Character concepts|this page’s inspiration page]], there are some first-party characters, but they all come from first-party universes which already have a fighter.

With a couple execptions, each of these newcomers represents a new universe that [[User:The Jacketed Terrapin/List of unrepresented universes|either has no]] [[User:The Jacketed Terrapin/Third-Party Universe Catalog|representation in ''Smash'']] or has [[List of minor Nintendo universes|very little]] [[List of minor third-party universes|of it]].
This project was inspired by [[User:Aidanzapunk|my dude Aidan]]. They've really inspired me to make this page, and [[User:Mario Maniac/Franchise experience|two of my]] [[User:Mario Maniac/Favorite Video Games|other sub-pages]].

===Development anecdote===
Toad was my first fake fighter. He was kinda like an experiment to answer the question, "Can I make a fake Smash moveset?" I ''did'' end up making him, but since I didn't know what to do, I kinda <s>mooched off of Ultimate Toad's movesets for Toad and Toadette</s> took some inspiration from Ultimate Toad's movesets for Toad and Toadette, as well as some moves from Mario's moveset. I tried to differentiate them by making the damage Toad's attacks do slightly different than Mario's equivalent attacks. Speaking of Toadette, my moveset for her was taken directly from Toad's! Since I failed to make Toad and his [[Echo Fighter]], Toadette, unique (they're probably at least a semi-clone of Mario), my next character's moveset will be completely unique. Yes, I won’t just clone random moves from some random fighters for my next fake fighter. Just you wait.

Toad, like [[Yoshi]], is one out of many of his species. [[mariowiki:Toad (species)|Toads]] are the inhabitants of the [[Mushroom Kingdom]]. Toad himself would make his actual debut in ''{{iw|mariowiki|Super Mario Bros. 2}}''. He appears in a lot of ''{{uv|Mario}}'' spin-offs, like ''{{iw|mariowiki|Mario Kart}}'' and ''{{iw|mariowiki|Mario Party|series}}''.

As a homage to SMB2, Toad is a [[weight|lightweight]], weighing as much as {{SSBU|Kirby}}. He is very fast, and he can't [[jump]] very high. Overall, his attributes mirror those seen in SMB2.

Toadette is a female Toad who appears in many games of the ''Mario'' series. She is known for her pigtails, cheerful personality, and occasional bursts of creativity. She first appeared in ''{{iw|mariowiki|Mario Kart: Double Dash!!}}''. She is a lightweight driver in that game, and her special item is the {{iw|mariowiki|Golden Dash Mushroom}}, shared with Toad. She appears in many ''Mario'' spin-offs, and she even appears as a playable character in a few mainline games, such as ''{{iw|mariowiki|New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe}}'' and ''{{iw|mariowiki|Super Mario Bros. Wonder}}''. She is actually the most commonly recurring female Toad in the series.
