I think we have been way too lenient on vandals. We block them for like a day to a week the first time which I believe it too short. vandals should be perma-blocked from the get-go in my opinion. This is what [[mariowiki:|Mariowiki]] does and I believe it is a better system. Vandals very often will come back and vandalize again after their block is over if it is only temporary. We should not give this the oppertunity to happen. Also, it is extremely unlikely that someone would vandalize the wiki at the time they join and then after their tempban expired, contribute constructively.
