It's not a bad template, but it's not really that useful for a shortcut, when typing <nowiki>{{Unused}}</nowiki> instead of <nowiki>{{d|Unused}}</nowiki> only saves typing two characters, is anyone really going to care about having to type an extra two characters on a maintenance template? It also has no additional utility like {{t|Replaced}} and {{t|Duplicate}} do in making it more efficient to link the replacing/duplicate image.
