It'd be nice if you guys could reason on why this should be added. For example, I wouldn't mind allowing only registered users editing; I've noticed much of the vandalism is from IPs so preventing them from editing would result in less vandalism. It will also encourage users to create accounts which has more benefits than editing anonymously.--Richard 23:48, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

:I'll state the case that registered-only editing is extremely effective, from what I can see, at WoWWiki. Would it be helpful here? I would say not, as it isn't such a large wiki... What I can see more benefit in having would be more people with rollback capabilities (if not administrative capabilities), however, and more people on IRC. However, this is not an official stance. --Sky (t · c · w) 00:24, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Well, I find that having registered people be the only ones to edit is a bad idea because, some members like myself would then be unable to edit, I have no e-mail, and besides, this would also make adding items harder, because if this change were so, those random people who see mistakes or see that some info is missing would be unable to fix those mistakes or add that info.  True that it could lower the vandalism by a whole lot, but, some of us know that it seems imposible* to get people to stop vandalisin. Why, I've seen someone basically ruin or erase entire pages, and making uneccesary* articles. The person was a member of Mariowiki. So some people who currently vandalise this site (and this doesn't seem likely) could just be using another computer (labtop, friend/neighbors' computer, parent's computer or public computer) and while on that other computer/labtop they just mess up article anonymously, afterwords that computer I.P. adress gets banned.  They also could have e-mail, and still mess up the site with the change to registered people editing. O yea, one last thing, we all know how hard it is to find people to add on your friends list (because I know I try to) if members stated what their friend code was, non-registered people who want to make friends can't post what theirs is. So I strongly dissagree to making this change. *An asterick after a word means that the word could be mispelled, so excuse me for my impropper* spelling.
