I've done some Wikipedia edits recently, and I have came across a policy there called "Fruit of the Poisonous Tree." In short, it's saying that any information obtained illegally should not be placed on the wiki (See [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Fruit_of_the_poisonous_tree here]). Of course, we can't 100% do that as we have a rumor/leaks page, however I believe there should be a rule on putting information on pre-release content, like music and unrevealed data, especially when channels such as [https://twitter.com/Crunchiitastic/status/1066557677927567361 Crunchii] and [https://twitter.com/Dystifyzer/status/1066685407868436480 Dystifyzer] have lost control of their channel/are being shut down because they uploaded music early. We're going to have information when the game officially comes out anyways, so we should just wait until it comes out before actually implementing everything. That's my proposal, and I would love to hear your opinions. [[User:SugarCookie420|SugarCookie420]] ([[User talk:SugarCookie420|talk]]) 11:47, 25 November 2018 (EST)

:The main problem is enforcement. Even if we had this policy agreed-upon and ready to go before the datamining happened, it would be a nightmare to try and keep everything straight between "this info is from a video of a media outlet's review copy" and "this info is from a guy who bought the game when a retailer broke street date". It would be possible, yes, but very difficult and arguably not worth the effort. ::My idea was to lock the whole wiki, but obviously that's not practical. I mainly had the SSBU music page in mind, so maybe we can lock individual pages? You're right on the enforcement however.
