All four of the Nintendo 64 C buttons on the N64 controller are used for [[jump]]ing when fighting, and are used to [[Alternate costume (SSB)|change costumes]] on the character selection screen.

A single C button is present on the Nunchuk, which is made compatible with ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' and {{forwiiu}}. This button is used to [[jump]] by default, but this can be changed in the [[controls]] menu.

A Nintendo 64 controller was created for [[Nintendo Switch]] Online subscribers, and is compatible with ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]''. However, this is a Nintendo 64 controller in design only, as it has the internal components of a [[Nintendo Switch Pro Controller]]. The C buttons on this controller are set to the C-stick option by default, but this can be altered in the controls menu.
