Yoshi has been confirmed to return as a playable fighter.

Differences from previous games

• Yoshi now stands up straighter than before, where he stood hunched over like a dinosaur.
• Yoshi looks significantly more cartoony and somewhat re-proportioned, closer resembling his recent appearances.
• Egg Throw now has a small rainbow added when Yoshi throws it the egg.
• The following moves appear visually unchanged:
  • Forward tilt
  • Up tilt
  • Down smash
  • Back aerial
  • Down aerial
  • Egg Lay
  • Egg Roll
  • Up taunt
  • Down taunt
