Charizard (SSBB)

Charizard (リザードン, Rizādon, Lizardon in Japanese language versions) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl in a sense; it is one of three Pokémon that can be played when you select Pokémon Trainer from the game's character select screen, the other two being Squirtle and Ivysaur. Like Pit and Meta Knight, Charizard is able to glide.

Pokemon Trainer was recently playable at the Whobby 2008 event. According to attendees, he was a slow, powerful character, and some regarded him as the best of the three.

Special Moves

• Standard Special Move: Flamethrower
• Side Special Move: Rock Smash
• Up Special Move: Fly*
• Down Special Move: Pokémon Change (to Squirtle)
• Final Smash: Triple Finish (Fire Blast)

*CoroCoro listed the attack as "Sora wo Tobu" ("Fly to the Sky") which is the Japanese name for the move "Fly".
