Dr. Mario (ドクターマリオ, Doctor Mario) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was officially confirmed as playable on June 12th, 2018.

Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4

Dr. Mario is now a semi-clone of Mario, rather than a full clone like he was in Melee and Smash 4, as he still shares some attacks, but not as many, and is not classified as an Echo Fighter.

Aerial attacks

  • Change Dr. Mario has a new down aerial, a downward stomp, as opposed to a drill kick.
    • Buff Compared to the old down aerial, the stomp is faster and can meteor smash.
