Here was my thought process: the trophies, spirits, and music pages all refer to it as the "Super Mario Bros." series. That was why I tagged this and the Sonic the Hedgehog universe pages. Mushroomy Kingdom 1-2 is an alternate stage layout rather than a fully fledged missing stage, but I'd say that totally still counts as some kind of missing stage. It's a full on stage layout of its own kind that exists separate from 1-1 and isn't just an aesthetical thing missing in Ultimate like B&W GB Dream Land. It's even different a case from the slightly different layout version of Gaur Plain on 3DS or the differing stage hazards between the different versions of Smash 4.
