Thwomp appears as an Assist Trophy.
When summoned, Thwomp teleports near or above a nearby opponent. It hangs in the air and falls down when an opponent passes under it. Unlike its game appearances, however, Thwomp will teleport to a different part of the stage if left stationary. Training Mode describes the Assist Trophy: Squishes opponents caught beneath it.
