Charizard (Lizardon; リザードン, Rizādon) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl in a sense; it is one of three Pokémon that can be played when you select Pokémon Trainer from the game's character select screen, the other two being Squirtle and Ivysaur. Like Pit and Meta Knight, Charizard is able to glide and jump multiple times in mid-air. However, Charizard only has three mid-air jumps.

Charizard has the seventh fastest running speed in the game, tied with Pikachu. However, it has one of the slowest walking speeds in the game. It is the third heaviest character.
