Super Jump: Difference between revisions

Inkling leaps up in squid form, before falling back down. The player can change the angle that Inkling goes up. Inkling can also damage opponents when initially leaping as well as landing. The move has a somewhat similar aesthetic to [[Hydro Pump]], except that the water is replaced with ink.

Notably, it's the only move in Inkling's arsenal that can still {{b|ink|status}} characters even with a completely empty ink tank.

The Super Jump is a mechanic in the ''Splatoon'' series that allows players to quickly traverse the stage. During a multiplayer battle, a player can use the {{s|inkipedia|map}} to select a teammate, a friendly {{s|inkipedia|Squid Beakon}}, or their team's {{s|inkipedia|spawn point}} and perform a Super Jump to quickly reach the target's location regardless of obstacles or distance. However, the Super Jump leaves the player vulnerable for a moment before they launch and also causes a marker to appear at their projected landing point, potentially allowing opponents to ambush them as they land. The animation for the player colliding with the ceiling during a Super Jump in ''Smash'' is similar to the animation for colliding with an obstacle while swimming up a wall in the ''Splatoon'' series. Unlike in ''Smash'', the player is invulnerable during a Super Jump and Super Jumping does not deal damage or leave behind ink.
