Historically, this category was reserved only for pages that have no official name equivalent (i.e. it wasn't used on "tilt attack" or "ukemi" but it is on "blast line" and "Slide Launcher"). However, it does make a decent amount of sense to use it on pages like "tilt attack" as it's not an official term, with the counter-argument being that there is an official term that's noted on the page which may confuse people with how the category has always been used. :The purple "unofficial" icon is set opposite the page title. Ergo, if the ''page title'' isn't the official term, then it's unofficial lingo. Simply mentioning the official term on the page doesn't cancel that (just as, vice-versa, using a non-official title as an "also known as..." in the first sentence shouldn't trigger a purple icon). - [[User:Reboot|Reboot]] ([[User talk:Reboot|talk]]) 21:48, 29 June 2011 (EDT)
::Tilt's unofficial, and the template applies. [[User:Miles of SmashWiki|<font color="dodgerblue"><span style="font-family:Comic Sans MS;">'''Miles''']] <font color="silver">([[User talk:Miles of SmashWiki|<font color="silver">talk]])</font></font></span></font> 21:52, 29 June 2011 (EDT)
==Removal of Banana Gun==
Seeing as how the August direct officially confirmed the item's name as "Banana Gun", it doesn't quite make sense to leave it in this category. I'd try editing it, but I can't access it. [[User:CiciPop|CiciPop]] 23:08, August 17th, 2018 (EST)
:You can remove pages from categories by editing the corresponding page and removing <nowiki>[[Category:CategoryName]]</nowiki> from there. You can usually find it at the bottom of the page.
