== Marth Side B stall ==
So as you know in Melee, the first time you use Marth's Side B in the air, you stop your fall completely and get a bit of height, similar to Mario's cape. Subsequent uses of Side do not stop your fall but merely delay your descent and move your ECB forward. I have reason to believe that this property was removed in Brawl and Smash 4. My reasoning is as follows. Mario can still use a midair cape to gain height without jumping first, but Marth has to use his double jump and then immediately side B to get the float. Subsequent uses of side B do absolutely nothing so I would guess the float from side B comes from the momentum of the double jump. Can you confirm? --<span style="background-color:#6d84e1;border:3px solid silver">[[User:1337 B33FC4K3|<span style="color:silver">'''Brian'''</span>]][[User talk:1337 B33FC4K3|<span style="color:black">Don't try me!</span>]][[File:Falco.gif|link=|27px]]</span> 11:01, 27 March 2015 (EDT)

The custom move combinations for EVO have been announced and are designed to be the standard for tournament play. What parts of the wiki do we need information about the combinations on? [[Special:Contributions/216.130.144.24|216.130.144.24]] 11:56, 30 March 2015 (EDT)

== I was redirected here ==
Aidan redirected me here due our discussion on physics in Smash 4, said you'd be the guy. The thing is, wavelanding is a feature exclusive to Melee, with only the slightest shown in Brawl due to a glitch apparently. Since Smash 4's release, videos have been made showcasing "wavedashes" or "wavelandings" or just plain glitches that show results similar to wavedashing from Melee, but most of them have no practical use, like Pit's ability to slip'n'slide up the pipes on a Mario stage. However, Bowser's second custom Side Special, Dash Slash, produces a technically exact looking waveland from Melee, minus the airdodge requirement. An up-tilt can be followed up well, a forward-tilt less so, but the crouch attack obviously works. Bowser appears unique with this ability. Has there been enough in-depth discussion about this? [[User:Superscooter|Superscooter]] ([[User talk:Superscooter|talk]]) 19:52, 5 April 2015 (EDT)
:A quick look around the Bowser section of SmashBoards suggests that people know about it, but haven't really done too much with it simply because it's a custom move. Some call the "waveslash" a crutch, others call it a necessity. I'm not a Bowser guy so that's about all I know. ==???==
Hey, man. Uh, I see that you typed something in my talk page about links for custom special moves. I supposed it had to do with that article I created yesterday that held a list for every custom move... what concerns me is that the message about an article created ''yesterday'' was written ''two weeks ago''.
Also, someone apparently deleted said article, and the wiki has no memory of it. Did you do that, or do you know who did? Just wondering.

== Since when does "objective" mean we call every character good?  ==
Looking at Marth's frame data, I'd say "Marth is bad" is an objective statement. Idk what Miles is trying to enforce here.--<span style="background-color:#6d84e1;border:3px solid silver">[[User:1337 B33FC4K3|<span style="color:silver">'''Brian'''</span>]][[User talk:1337 B33FC4K3|<span style="color:black">Don't try me!</span>]][[File:Falco.gif|link=|27px]]</span> 13:43, 7 April 2015 (EDT)
:"Marth is one of the worst characters in the game" is a subjective statement which says nothing that the objective statement "[Marth] currently has one of the worst high-level representations in large Smash 4 tournaments" doesn't already say. ::::<nowiki>*</nowiki>ahem* If I may give my opinion on the subject...
::::It seems to me that there is a small misunderstanding. Brian, you believe that not saying "Marth is believed to be one of the worst characters in the game" implies all characters are good. That being said, removing that statement in favor of Miles's statement, "[Marth] currently has one of the worst high-level representations in large Smash 4 tournaments", wouldn't really imply all characters are good. It basically says the same thing.
::::Now, outright placing on every page "____ has been buffed in Smash 4, giving them very high tournament results" would be another thing, but to my understanding, that is not the case. [[File:Aidanzapunksignature.png|20px]][[User:Aidanzapunk|<span style="color: blue;">'''Aidan'''</span>]], [[User talk:Aidanzapunk|<span style="color: blue;">'''Master of Speed and Aura'''</span>]][[File:AidanzapunkSignaturesmall.PNG]] 20:27, 7 April 2015 (EDT)
:::::It does not say the same thing. It only says that very few people use Marth. It doesn't say much about what the majority of the community thinks about Marth which is that he is garbage. Yoshi also sees very little tournament use and subsequently does not see good results, but the community largely believes Yoshi to be one of the better characters in the game.--<span style="background-color:#6d84e1;border:3px solid silver">[[User:1337 B33FC4K3|<span style="color:silver">'''Brian'''</span>]][[User talk:1337 B33FC4K3|<span style="color:black">Don't try me!</span>]][[File:Falco.gif|link=|27px]]</span> 00:32, 8 April 2015 (EDT)
::::::See we just read things differently then. To me, the phrase "bad high-level representation" can mean "character is unplayed by many", "character earns worse results than their playerbase would suggest", or "both". In fact, with the way the page is currently written, I don't know how else to understand it other than "both".
