The Auroros is an enemy in SSBB's Subspace Emissary mode. They dive from the sky into the ground. Once they are stuck in the ground, they can be pulled out, but the point of this is unknown.
It's possible that the design came from the vehicle "Dragoon" from Kirby Air Ride.
