For the heck of it, I decided to make rosters for a future ''Smash'' game and a future ''Smash''-style fighting game.

Apparently I really like the two-in-one characters.
No random-space, though Banjo and Kazooie are where it was on my roster.


My original revision of this roster replaced Squall with the [http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Protagonist_(Shin_Megami_Tensei) protagonist] of [http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Shin_Megami_Tensei Shin Megami Tensei], a [[Super Famicom]] game, with [[palette swap]]s and [[Special move|abilities]] used by the [http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Protagonist protagonists] from other games in the series.  I scrapped this idea because Squall would probably be more accepted and Megami Tensei is already getting [http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Persona_4_Arena a fighting game] anyway.

I was not afraid of cutting for this roster. I previously cut Lucario and Falco, but both have been put back.

I also thought about replacing Bowser Jr. with [[supermariowiki:Rosalina|Rosalina]] as a way to reflect one of the [[Wii U|system]]’s [[Wii|predecessor]]'s great games. But then I thought, Rosalina is probably the character I would least want in a fighting game, even though she could probably hold her own. Racing, sure; but fighting, no. Instead, as a way of representing [[supermariowiki:Super Mario Galaxy|Super Mario Galaxy]], one of Bowser Jr.'s [[Final Smash]]es could be flying around in the ship he uses [[supermariowiki:Bowser Jr.'s Airship Armada|the second time you encounter him]].
