Each contestant gets 3 minutes to perform a combo. They can use any character, any stage, and any item. Once the three minutes are up, or when the contestant finishes his or her combo, five judges rate the combo, giving it a number between 1-10. Those points are totalled up into a final number. The higher the score, the better chance in moving on.

*Despite making it out of Round 1 of ''Ultimate'' singles pools on the winners side, {{Sm|Cosmos}} would end up dropping out of the tournament before Round 2 due to health issues.

*Due to confirmed accusations of bracket manipulation, {{Sm|CaptainZack}} was banned from competing in the tournament but was allowed to attend as a spectator.
