'''Kansai 2020''' (or '''12th Kansai''') was a [[major]] ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'' [[tournament]] held in the Kansai region of Japan. Foreign Players {{Sm|Josh Brody}}, {{Sm|Darkhorse}}, {{Sm|Madrush}}, {{Sm|Olikus}} and {{Sm|jonnjonn}} attended. It was streamed on Darkhorse's [[Twitch]] channel making it the first Japanese major with a player camera. The format of the tournament was Bo1-Pools (with 4 players advancing) followed by a top 32 bracket Bo3-Double Elimination. It was character-locked. {{Sm|Kurabba}} won his first national tournament with a 2-1 against {{Sm|Wangera}} in WF and a 2-0 against {{Sm|Sekirei}} in GF. As with many other nationals, a "B" or amateur bracket was held as well for players who finished outside top 4 in pools. This single elimination best of 1 (until finals) tournament was won by {{Sm|Take}} who took it over {{Sm|Sonjo}} 2-1. Along with the main two events, a paid 50$ [[money match]] was done between the top 2 Link players; {{sm|sekirei}} and {{sm|Gyaki}}; where the former won 3-0.
